In protest of Amazon's business practices, the Forgotten Heirs Series is leaving Kindle Unlimited.
However, because of how KU works, there is a 2-3 month waiting period between opting out of the platform and the books becoming unavailable.
I ask anyone who has KU to consider reading my books for free on Bookfunnel instead until the waiting period passes and I migrate over to KOBO+.

You can still read them in your Kindle device or app (but without contributing to Amazon's revenue) by downloading the files and then uploading them to amazon.com/sendtokindle, after which they will appear on your device.
Ethical Considerations
Discourse on this topic has been a bit tricky because many indie authors rely on KU as their primary book-related income stream (me included).
Though I urge readers to consider shifting their support and purchases to non-oligarchical platforms that are anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ friendly, and aligned with democratic values, that doesn’t mean that you should stop supporting KU authors by purchasing their work elsewhere whenever possible and practical!
A Message to KU Indie Authors
Even if you stay on the platform, please consider offering an alternative free download + tipping option for your books, providing readers with another way to support your work outside of KU. Bookfunnel is a safe distribution platform, and setting up a Buy Me a Coffee link, a Substack account, or a Patreon alongside it are all great ways to diversify your income. There may be even better options out there—please let me know what you use!
As we are all able, small steps make a big difference, but I know we are all doing our best amidst this weird AF world economy! <3

I love writing Jace so much, and I can’t wait for you guys to see her chapters in this book. Her arc is so special to me. All of these characters have little pieces of me in them, and for Jace, I write from my experience with depression. But she’s so much more than that. She comes across as a one-note character at first, but hints of her layers, her depth are sprinkled across the books. This book is different: no sprinkles, all substance….
ANYWAY here is a funny (I think), lighthearted lil tidbit for ya!
